Last tuesday, june 6th 2011, 19 CME students were invited for a Schiphol Air-site tour by the Schiphol Group. The day started with a nice lunch. After the lunch, Schiphol Group arranged a few presentations about the Airport Maintenance Services and Asset Management. Besides that, a graduation opportunity was offered in the field of probablistic design. For more information about this opportunity you can contact the board.

After the presentation the group was treated with an exclusive Air-site tour by bus. The group drove around all airstrips and terminals. A few stops were made. The first stop was at a fire station, were the group got the opportunity to check out some state-of-the-art firetrucks. They even were treated with a demonstration by the firemen. A second stop was made at the Zwanenburg baan, which is currently under maintenance. It was very overwhelming to stand on an actual airstrip! Everybody was very excited! After the tour, the group was invited for a drink at Cafe Rembrandt. We would like to thank the Schiphol Group for this well arranged and memorable day!
